Sant Roc is one of the best-known neighbourhoods in Badalona, located in the south of the city near the coast. With a high density of social-housing blocks built in the 1960s, Sant Roc has a very aged housing stock where the original blinds have been in service for decades without any servicing. At Persianista BCN 24H we cover Sant Roc with a service available 24 hours a day.

Blinds in Sant Roc: 1960s coastal blocks
Sant Roc is very close to the sea, and the combination of marine salt and the age of the mechanisms is the main cause of most call-outs we receive in this neighbourhood. Straps deteriorate faster than in inland areas, and blind housing boxes accumulate humidity that rusts the shafts and brackets.
In the taller blocks in the neighbourhood, with façades exposed to the east wind, the aluminium slats on the upper floors are the most affected: they bend or show surface corrosion after years of direct exposure to the marine environment.
