Montigalà is one of Badalona’s most modern neighbourhoods, developed from the 1990s onwards in the northern part of the city. With newer buildings, wide avenues and green spaces, Montigalà has a middle-class residential profile where many homes were fitted with electric motorised blinds from new. At Persianista BCN 24H we cover Montigalà with 24-hour service.

Blinds in Montigalà: motors reaching the end of their life
The typical fault profile in Montigalà is different from the rest of Badalona. Being a newer neighbourhood, many homes have had electric blinds from the start. Tubular motors have a service life of between 15 and 25 years depending on use, and the buildings put up in the 90s and early 2000s are now entering that window: motor no longer responding to the remote, making noise, or stopping halfway.
Replacing a tubular motor is a clean job that requires no building work: the casing is opened, the old motor is removed and the new one fitted in under an hour.
