Blinds in Bufalà: between the sea and the hills
Bufalà sits at a higher elevation than central Badalona, making it more exposed to the north wind coming down from the hills. On north-west-facing façades, the aluminium slats on upper floors are the most affected by tramuntana episodes. There is also some marine influence, though more moderate than in the coastal neighbourhoods.
In the detached houses at the higher elevations, the most common problem is large-format blinds with an unbalanced shaft or mechanisms that have accumulated years without any servicing. Motorisation is a popular solution in this part of the neighbourhood.
