Blinds in Casagemes: quiet residential neighbourhood
Casagemes is a heavily residential neighbourhood where blinds have a very active lifecycle. The most common failure in this area is broken straps and winders that have lost tension in flats that have gone decades without any servicing of the mechanism. Being somewhat further from the seafront, marine corrosion is less pronounced than in the southern neighbourhoods, but mechanical wear from use remains the main cause of failure.
In multi-storey buildings it is common to coordinate visits for several neighbours in the same block and resolve all the problems in a single morning.
