Sant Just Desvern: blinds in large-format homes
The housing stock in Sant Just has some very specific characteristics. Unlike other Baix Llobregat municipalities dominated by apartment blocks, here detached houses, terraced homes and architect-designed properties with large windows and sizeable aluminium blinds are the norm.
Large-format blinds have their own problems: the weight of the slats causes the axle to lose balance over time, and the blind starts dropping on its own or becomes hard to raise. Manual mechanisms on windows wider than 2 metres are especially prone to this wear. In many cases the permanent solution is motorisation: a motor manages the weight correctly and eliminates winder wear.
There are also a good number of properties with electric blinds installed 10–15 years ago whose motors have reached the end of their service life and need replacing.

FAQs
Do you repair electric blinds from less common brands?
Yes. We work with most motor brands sold in the Spanish market: Somfy, Simu, Bubendorff, Nice and own-label motors. If the original motor cannot be repaired, we fit a compatible replacement without changing the blind.
Does motorisation work with existing home automation systems?
In most cases yes, depending on the home automation protocol. We check compatibility before fitting the motor and advise you accordingly. KNX, Zigbee and Z-Wave systems are compatible with the motors we install.
