Most common blind faults in Sant Feliu
Sant Feliu combines buildings from different eras: from 1960s–70s blocks in the town centre and the Roses neighbourhood, to detached houses and terraced homes in the Pla del Vent and Can Calders developments. The type of fault varies quite a bit by area.
In the town centre blocks, the most common problems are winder mechanisms that have lost tension after decades of use and PVC slats cracking with temperature changes. In buildings of this era, a general inspection of all the blinds in a flat often reveals several mechanisms in poor condition.
In the hillside developments, exposure to wind coming down from Collserola causes damage to aluminium slats, especially on large north-facing windows. There are also many motorisation requests from owners who want to add convenience when renovating.
