The housing profile of Vilassar de Dalt
Vilassar de Dalt does not have the salt corrosion problem of its coastal neighbours, but it does receive the llevant wind rising from the sea with considerable force in spring and autumn. East- and south-east-facing houses are the most affected. The most common problem here is not corrosion but mechanical imbalance in large-format blinds that have been bearing their own weight for years without any maintenance.
Motorisation is in high demand in this municipality: owners with 5, 6 or more blinds who prefer to automate them all at once during a renovation or while a repair is being carried out.
